  1. Any individual may apply for membership to the Society
  2. Members shall abide by the regulations of the Society, including payment of subscription fees
  3. Any member may be subject to disciplinary action, including termination of membership for conduct that may bring disrepute to the Society, that is not in the best interest of the Society, or that is not for a good cause. This action shall be determined by a majority vote of the Executive Committee.
  4. The Executive Committee may define further membership requirements in the best interests of the Society.

The International Journal of Body Composition Research

  • Membership will run for a year from January to December, and coincide with receipt of the journal
  • If you subscribe in the middle of a calendar year you may either 
backdate your membership to the start of that calendar year and receive any back issues of the journal for that year or

postpone the start of your membership and receipt of the journal until the beginning of the next calendar year


The benefits are as follows:
  1. Free copies of the International Journal of Body Composition Research (IJBCR).
  2. Circulars, such as newsletters that provide information on new developments in body composition and forthcoming meetings.

Relationship with International Journal of Body Composition Research

The International Journal of Body Composition Research (IJBCR) will become the official journal of the International Society of Body Composition Research (ISBCR). It will be used to promote the aims of the Society. Currently the IJBC aims to cover all aspects of body composition, from physics to biomedicine, and from methodology to applications, in healthy subjects and patients of all age groups, as well as animals. These are consistent with the aims of the Society.

The Editorial Board will be appointed by the ISBCR, with the approval of the ISBCR.

The title of the journal will remain under the ownership of Smith-Gordon and Company Ltd. Any change in title will require approval by the Society.
