Presenter Guidelines

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Auckland, New Zealand in February 2025, and excited that you will be presenting your research on the international stage!

We have put together a few guidelines to help you to prepare your presentation.

Please let us know if you have any other queries and we will try our hardest to assist you.

Please note that all presentations (poster and oral) will be in person in Auckland, New Zealand. The presenting author of each accepted abstract should now be registered as a conference delegate. Failure to have registered will result in removal of your presentation from the conference programme.

Scam warning:

We have also been made aware that some of our presenters have been contacted by external organisations purporting to be official accommodation/travel providers. We have not provided your contact details to anyone, nor have we (the ISBCR2025 organising committee) contracted any third party to source or book accommodation on behalf of delegates or speakers. Any company that contacts delegates or speakers directly (via email, phone or fax) claiming to provide any accommodation booking services are not affiliated with ISBCR.

Please do not provide them with your credit card or personal details.

Posters

  • Poster boards are 1.2m wide, so width of poster should be less than this in order to fit onto the board.

  • Please bring your poster pre-printed, as there are no onsite poster printing facilities.

  • All posters will be displayed in the foyer.

  • Upon arrival, visit the registration desk for assistance.

  • Posters will remain on display throughout the conference, and poster presenters should be available for discussions with delegates during breaks.

Oral Presentations

The conference room is equipped with a computer at the lectern, a microphone, projector and whiteboard.

Please have your presentation on a USB and visit the room at least 15 minutes prior to your session to load your presentation onto the lectern computer. If you need assistance with this, please see the registration desk.

  • Keynotes - 40 minute presentation followed by 10 minutes Q&A

  • Plenary Speakers - 20 minute presentation followed by 10 minutes Q&A

Session Chairs

Chairs are responsible for introducing each presenter, ensuring that they adhere to their time limits, and facilitating audience questions and discussions at the end of the session. Make note of the timings allocated for your session and use the supplied timecards to give presenters a 2 and 1 minute warning before their time is up to allow them to wind up their presentation smoothly.  To assist you with introductions, we suggest you arrive in the room 15 minutes prior to the session start, introduce yourself to the presenters in your session prior to the session start time. Biographies are available in the digital conference handbook and will also be supplied in the room.
